midnightHow did you spend this weekend boomer woman?  Doing something fun and exciting or wishing that Monday were already over.

For me, I spent time reflecting, meditating, being grateful and asking the hard questions.  This exercise is never easy for me but I always come out of it with a renewed awareness.  This time was no different.

The question that permeated loudest and most of the weekend is “what would you do differently today if you knew you’d be dead by midnight”?  For me that is a powerful question. I started thinking about the answers.

Some of the answers for me are:

  • I’d treat myself more kindly.
  • I’d treat others more kindly.
  • I’d stop procrastinating.
  • I’d tell everyone how much I love them and how much they mean to me.
  • I’d see beauty in ALL things and hear a song on the wind.
  • I’d be sure to go to swim in the ocean and play in the surf.
  • I’d not be concerned about how I look today; just make sure I create and feel joy.
  • I’d meet the deadlines I’ve set for myself and stay on schedule.

These are just a few of the things I’d do.

Imagine the difference you will make boomer woman in the world today and everyday just by treating everyone with love, kindness and expressing joy.  Making a difference in just one life, yours and/or someone else can change your world and the world one kindness at a time.  It doesn’t matter who you are, it only matters that you begin to live in the moment, experiencing and expressing joy, love and happiness.

Now, I’m asking you, “What would you do differently today if you knew you’d be dead by midnight?”

I’d love to read your comments!
